Thats a great fish man. Looks like thing are finally starting to happen up here in NE.

I just used regular 30 min. 2 part epoxy because i had some around the house but i came out good.

Its been a slow start to '08 for me. I havent had that break out day where you cant seem to through the wrong lure, but the quality of fish have been very good. Today a went out for a couple of hours in the morning and only caught one fish but what a fish. 6lbs. 5oz. amd a new PB for me.

I think they changed them a little last year or this year because its a little different than other ones i've seen.

I got the idea from a couple other members on here who dod the same. I found this artical online that explains in detail how it it is done, but i didnt remove the but grip the way he does just cut to the length you want and shape to desired feel. http://www.georgescustomrods.com/split_your_grip.htm

Thanx. I didnt cut the reel seat i just removed tha fore grip on the middle rod and shortened it on the spinning rod and split all 3 rear grips.

I was stuck in the house all weekend because of this lovely NE weather so i figured i would mess with my rods a little. (L to R) BPS Pro Qualifier 6'6", Dick's Quest 6'6" and Quantum Tournament Grade 7'

My first tourny was last fathers day, we only caught 1 fish and had to leave 2 hours before weigh-in cuz my father inlaw hooked his hand trying to take the fish off and i had to bring him to the E.R.

motorguide has just come out with a transom mount foot controlled that bps has on there website, i beleive it it a 36lbs.

Well we finally had a couple of warmer days here in southeastern mass, i've been waiting months to get back out on the water. I got out of work early today so i decided to load up and hit the lake. Once i got everything situated in the boat it was finally time to start fishing woohoo. First cast i make BAM (fish on) a nice 3.5 pounder. Man what a way to start the new season. Ofcourse an hour and a half later not another bite, but water temps in the mid 40's you can expect them to be too active. Thats ok though its not even spring yet.

im such an idiot. i went out for a couple of hours this morning but got a late start so i figured i would catch anything and i didnt bring the camera, doesnt i figure i had my best day of the year so far. i start things of with my PB 5.3 then catch a 3.3 and a 3.4 needless to say i wont be leaving my camera at home again.
