  1. yeah making this a sticky would be awesome!
  2. wow i'm suprised to see this coming from you of all people haha. but yeah i agree! he is a strange one. but from interviews and things like that he seems like a very down to earth guy (maybe?) and has good values. the music is just great!
  3. the problem with making your own rattles is, no matter what kind of bead or BB or bearing you put in there, it will be knocking against wood which will REALLY dull out the sound of it, and it won't make much of a "rattle" more of a "knock". sometimes desirable, not always. this is why pre-made glass rattles would work, because even though the rattle itself is inside the wood, the actual BB is ticking against glass, making a sharp rattle noise. you may be able to make your own rattles out of aluminum from a soda can and whatever kind of BB you choose... i've had moderate success doing this.
  4. if you build your own little cart for it, use large diameter wheels, like bicycle wheels. less effort on your part.
  5. the more i listen to them, the more i like them. anybody else like them? seems most people don't.... i really like the emotion that comes through in Marilyn's voice.
  6. go for it. rattles may be difficult unless you insert pre-made glass rattles.
  7. VERY sharp. i like also like your new avatar
  8. are you using rattle cans? i never could be 100% sure from looking at your pics, but i always thought you were. i'm not that good at fitting all those colors on one bait with rattle cans.
  9. www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com has great customer service! WASCO has a good selection of paints but i kinda feel like i got ripped off by them, so i will not be ordering from them anymore, instead i'll order my paints from www.smithpaints.com anyway, i have the Iwata Revolution BR brush and i'm liking it so far. only 72 bucks for a quality brush. i also have a $99 Husky Airscout aircompressor from Home Depot that has served me well in airbrushing.
  10. Thanks, I used createx opaque yellow with transparent dark brown to get the "baby poop/mustard color" then splattered some black and lime pearl on it! Btw those clamps are awesome, I am gonna go check out radio shack for alligator clips, bc I have a great Idea for a holder. If it works I will post a how to for making said holder! cool. i haven't really fooled around with mixing colors yet. definitely keep us updated on how to make some of those holders!
  11. yep. doesn't have to have red. just about every sunfish species has a different gill spot. bluegill just have a solid black spot, pumpkinseeds have a black spot w/ a half red half white margin, redears have a black spot with a red margin, green sunfish have a black spot with a white margin, etc.
  12. looks pretty sweet! you should put a gill spot on it.
  13. the colors look nice! i need to get me one of them grabby things you have em clamped in to...
  14. yep, using waterbased acrylic Wildlife Colors. i did heat set my repaint of this. so do you heat set in between coats or just after the entire thing is painted?
  15. thats a great idea, this way you can get that gold and red "halo" around the pupil that makes fish eyes look really cool. thanks barry, i'm going to keep this one in mind next time!
  16. i have the latest version, 3.5. wiki just started working again last night, no re-install needed.
  17. thanks M and M. i'll get pics up when i can get around to clearing the new paint.
  18. 2manycrankb8's, i agree, and i would have put an eye on it, if i had one that would fit. i only have 6mm eyes and this one needs about a 3.5-4mm eye. i should have ordered 6mm ad 4mm, instead of just 6..... :
  19. repaint's done, looks just as good as the original
  20. thanks. but its no biggie. just more practice, and lessons learned! i'm currently repainting it. waiting on the metallic silver to dry as i type this.
  21. Awesome movie YES
  22. i just got firefox yesterday, and i'm noticing today that i can't search anything on wikipedia! i can get on www.wikipedia.org just fine, but when i type something in to search, i get the error page "server not be found" whaddup with this? :-?
  23. baby bass = sweet
  24. screwed up a good paintjob that i was really liking.... lessons learned: prime (i even had the primer, too lazy to put it on such a small bait) wait longer before taping live and learn (oh well, i get to sand this off and re-do it; more practice )
  25. finished pics:
