  1. I've been meaning to ask that question yesterday but the forum was in maintenance mode so I couldn't post. After reading the F&Q on Navionics site. It state that the 07 and 08 version are the same except the 08 has added 160 lakes in HD. That I know of. If that is the case then I'll stick with the 07 because the lake I fish already has HD so I don't see myself spending other 150 dollars for the same lake map. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. Informative. Thanks everyone.
  3. True. Years ago I used Spike It only once. I dipped their chartreuse on junebug brush hog tail, it turned to sorta bright green neon. Didn't like it nor did the fish Read nothing but good things about JJ's. I'm leaning toward their clear ones. I'll ask again, how many ounce is the bottle?
  4. I know that the product was meant for a soft plastic baits but, was wondering if anyone have tried it on jig? I wasn't sure how it would affect the skirts? I'm curious, before I try the product. And how many ounce a bottle? Edit: Nevermind, just view the video on their homepage that it does the skirts too. Great.
  5. OK, lets say you have to pick one if fishing cross the country which one would be more ideal? For 10 to 20 feet deep ledges with 1/2 to 3/4 ounce jig.
  6. I'd leave it alone cause its making the tree looks sexy too.
  7. Get yourself some ultimate lure saver. A split ring that releases the hook to get your crankbait back almost every time. I use them and it works great, saved lot of crankbaits than without it. Paul Elias uses them too. To learn more about the product, check out the review at Tackle Tour. Worth the investment, IMO.
  8. Dollar and forty nine cents on Beetle Spin.
  9. Thanks for the answer. I'm on fence between Rage Tail's craw and new Lobster for 3/4 oz jig. I like my jig to be bulky. For summer ledge fishing that is. I have a couple of brush hog in 5" so the Lobster comes in 4", that should do it then.
  10. Nice. I have yet see the Lobster. Wonder if the size is bulky compare to brush hogs?
  11. Clear to stained this' what I use most of the time year round, to make my life easier. Spring- Thin red crawfish like Rapala DT's craw or a red trap Summer-Prefer a wide wobblers like Norman DD22 or any other deep diver in shad Fall - either a thin or fat crankbait in shad, in shallow, let the fish tell ya what they want
  12. Caught 3 of 7+ lbs this year on wide wobble crankbaits in shad color in over populated bream lake. There are shad here and there but, they wouldn't take a tight wobblers. Odd. You might be onto something.
  13. What I don't understand, most of the deep divers comes with rattle and they're one of effective lure for ledge fishing. Why not jigs with rattle too? Explain.
  14. What size was the buzzbait used? I've used other cheap brand black ones at night last year it was hit and miss. Since I have a couple of Cavitrons but none in black. I'm seriously considering to add the black one to get a better hooks up like I did with other Cavitrons colors. Thanks.
  15. Do you guys use them with or without rattle for ledge from say 15-20 feet deep?
  16. Glad you called to correct the problem cause I haven't place order, yet. That's the color I intend to get. Let us know whenever they've got it taken care.
  17. I have tried a graphite stout rod with deep diver. Only tried it within 5 mintues. It was pure hell and felt like I was gonna break it in half cross my knee like Bo Jackson with bat. I'll stick with a fiberglass or composite thank you.
  18. Dancin Eel is a complete joke. I can't believe they came up with the design. A gimmick all the way. Last year I was watching a boat that was in team tournament and this boater was catching bass left and right on Rapala crankbait while his partner in the back was throwing Dancin Eel and didn't catch a squat. I was chuckling.
  19. Uh I posted and asked Big O about the color comparison for Lobster and after he told me the difference between the two. Then all sudden this one poster posted that he went and placed all the order and now that its out of stock. Thanks to whoever it was. Yea he's real consideration. Rude IMO. 70 years old acting like a kid in candy store : Whatever, theres always time in the world.
  20. BassXL, how about those? Get offa me bait monkey! Why O Why me!!! :'(
  21. Nice fish! Question, in the video it shows skirt being submerged with of course the blade on surface like a spinnerbait. Mine does not do that at all unless I retrieve it REALLLLY slow or the skirt will turn its sideway along with blade buzzing other side instead of skirt go under. Also not to mention that when I have the rod tip up high and its going left instead of straight toward me. Is this the norm with all other buzzbait? Have 4 of them from last year and they're all like that. Solution???
