  1. hey guys here's a quick video I threw together of some of my catches.
  2. Hey guys glad I made it. Wish I had gotten there a little earlier and had a chance to chat with you all but it's nice to be able to put a face with your names. I had a tough time gettin around once the wind picked up and had to head in much earlier than I wanted to.......but that led me to 3 LM (4.2lb, 1.8lb, and 1.1lb)and 1 SM (2lb) all caught between the launch and the covered bridge.
  3. Thats some funny stuff right there!
  4. Ok its official I'll be there tommorrow. Just want to make sure I'm correct the launch is on the south end. I was just looking on my map and it shows a launch at the north end as well.
  5. Hey guys, I wasn't expecting to be able to make it, but as it turns out I might. I wont know for sure until tommorrow night. If I can make I'll be there with a buddy of mine and my crawdad. If someone can send me some directions that would be great. I'll be coming form the Bedford Mall. Thanks!
  6. I just did my boat. I used indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot. 6x8 for $17. At my local store they have black, grey, blue, green, and tan. looks great and no problems with hooks. good luck
  7. Shane, I am also in Pembroke. What is the small pond you're talking about? Or is it a secret? Sounds like some place I'd like to check out.
  8. Wow this heat has made it tough fishin. Didn't really get out much this week but i did spend some time on great east lake in Wakefield. While I only managed to get 2 tiny smallies I was able to help my buddies 5 year old land his first bass ever. I happened to see a couple bass swimming around about 50 feet away from where the boy was fishing. It was tough to get him to slooooow down and let his bait sit still but once he did he hooked up. I got to tell you I love fishing and landing a pig once in a while or just catching alot of small ones. But watching this 5yr old with his little Batman rod land his first bass ever (3 1/4lb LM) was AWESOME!!! Good luck everyone and if you get a chance, take a kid fishing.
  9. Shane, do you ever fish at rollins? sounds like your boat is prob to big to launch there. its kind of a pain in the butt to launch and load but theres alot of bass in there. lots of 2.5 - 3lbers and have gotten a few 4 and 5lbers there as well. you had said your buddy lives right near crooked pond, does he happen to live in the white cape. I met that guy there last year, but cant remember his name.
  10. ended up going to Rollins Pond instead. that wind was tough but managed to snag 7 LMB. seemed to only strike when we'd get a hole in the clouds and the sun would shine through. once the clouds blocked the sun again......nothin.
  11. Thanks everyone. Actually about to head back there in a couple mins. The wind is gonna be tough but we'll see
  12. Thanks UNH! If I'm remembering correctly from reading n the past you"ve definitly had your share of pigs. I tried Mill Pond last year after seeing all your pics but never caught anything over maybe 2lbs. got out tonight on shaws pond in New Durham and got 3 smb and 5 lmb with a 2.5 lb smallie and a 3 lb lmb. but wasn't able to get any pics.
  13. i was just at crooked on monday. fish were very tight to cover and not to active. picked up 6 LMB all around 1.5 lb then just before i left i scored this pig. 22in and 6 3/4lbs. thought it was gonna weigh more but I'll take it. wish I had caught her before spawning prob woulda been my biggest ever.
  14. hello, i've been reading for a couple years and picked up alot of good info, thanks guys. anyways i live in pembroke and fish mostly small ponds under 100 acres. i would like to hook up with some of you and hopefully find some new spots and learn some new techniques as i've become quite a 1 trick pony. I pretty much always use soft plastics and fish the shoreline. anyone in the area with room on your boat that would like to slam some bass let me know. thanks
  15. Gonna be spending the weekend near Errol in a couple weeks. Anyone know where there is a ny good small mouth fishing in the area. I know there is trout fishing but I'd rather fish for bass. Thanks
  16. I have recently started fishing again after about 7 yrs A friend and I started in late may and imediately started having success with lizards along shorelines and in shallows. Between the two of us at least 150 LM with about a dozen 3lb or larger. for the last week or so we haven't had nearly as much luck. We're in the same areas with the same or similair bait but the # of fish has gone from 8-10 fish per trip to 3-4 per trip and the size of fish has dropped. they all seem to be around a pound. Have the big ones moved to deeper water? If so any advise on how to find them would be great. I have a canoe with no electronics, so I cannot find drop-offs, piles or any other structure. also the ponds I fish are generally pretty small ( 150 or less). any advice or techniques would be appreciated!
