Went out for some smallmouth today and we got what we wanted! The first fish I hooked up with was without a doubt my biggest smallie... I thought I was on the bottom until I felt her head shake, then

Shane and I got out today, fished a new sport for the first time and put together an alright day. Lots of pickerel, some pretty small bass but I did manage my biggest fish of the year SO FAR at 6lbs o

  • What's up, everyone?! Figured I'd bounce on here, say hi. I got so tied up in chasing fish this year, I forgot to do anything else. I hope you all are happy and healthy in this new year, and have big

Was able to cast from the shore of Champlain today.  The lake was like glass most of the day and where I was fishing the water was crystal clear.  I tried throwing a few different lures and wasn't getting anything, and then the wind picked up...  Like flipping a light switch, as soon as there was a decent ripple to the water they started smacking my jerkbait.  Got three smallies in ten casts and then had to go to work... Dang it!

Psyched my son wants to join me fishing tomorrow on GreatEast hoping to find some big boys to get him hooked. He went on the last day last year with me and caught a couple small ones so now's the time to grab his interest for it.

Good luck tomorrow.  Hoping you two can land some nice ones!

Anyone know if they raised the water level back up on Arrowhead yet? I want to fish it this weekend, but im not sure if its still 3ft down.

Sorry  cannot think straight,  the Bruins are in game 7 with Montreal !!!

Last I heard they were drawing the lake down this past Monday to look for a missing person.  Was planning to head there on this coming Monday, I'm going to try to get in touch with fish and game, will post when I find out.

Hoping to be doing a lunker tournament on Little Ossipee Sunday just waiting to see if it got voted for. I just read a article that they will be draining Arrowhead lake to search for a missing person this week.

Looks like there will be 2 Avalanches on Little O Sunday. Ossipee got my vote as well Bob.

My son fished with me today so we did Mousam in ME. What a wonky day, there were some beds but the males are late making most of the beds and the females are cruising big time. Ended with 10 caught 5 a piece and now my son is hooked thanks to Dad and Ragetail craws rigged texas style pumpkin green was the color of choice for all his fish. Biggest was 2.1/2 The wind on the lake was enough to throw white caps I think most lakes will be having late spawns here.

My son is hooked on Bass fishing now

First pic me and my buddy went to the Nashua River. This was his first bass of the season and first fish in awhile it was about 3lbs little under. The next pic was from today me and my buddy went to Rocky Pond in Hollis and we ended up seeing a school of bass roughly round 2lbs a piece they wouldn't hit a d**n thing luckily though he caught this small mouth which put up a decent fight. Going back out tomorrow after work to the river most likely see if I can find some of the big girls on the beds.

Sunday two friends and I will be going after some big smallies... I'm liking the forecast

Spoke with fish and game yesterday.  According to the person I spoke with, who stated she spoke to the warden in the area, they have started to refill Lake Arrowhead, launching, and fishing shouldn't be a problem.

I will certainly be out this weekend. I'm trying to find a place to keep my boat up here in VT, it's killing me to have it fixed and just sitting in NH. For now though I'm fishing from shore at a few places around Burlington. Jerkbaits, squarebills, and jigs have been most productive fore me so far. Good luck this weekend guys, looking forward to some pictures come Sunday night!

I'm only going to have a few hours tomorrow to get out for all weekend. Stupid busy weekends when I'm trying to go FISH!!!

On my way out to get wet I'll post any results later

I'm off for the next week and plan to hit up a lake every day if possible.  I'll let you all know how it goes!

What are the bass doing where you guys are ?

Last weekend I saw some male largemouths making beds. They are shallow. I even caught one while he was making a bed. The cold weather we have this week should push them back off. It seems like it is going to be the usual spawn time like it is every year at least for where I am fishing. Smallies spawn in the last two weeks of May. Largemouth spawning the last few days of May and the first week of June. Every water is a little different depending on a couple factors but generally what I said above I have found to be very true atleast for the areas I like to fish in western/southern Maine and Vermont.

I'm going to an all smallmouth lake tomorrow, as far as largemouth I've seen them begin to make beds as of last weekend.

Got out for three hours today. I got soaked in the rain but pulled in 6 fish. 4 large mouth and 2 pickerel all on a black blue swim jig with matching rage craw trailer. Not a bad day out on the water.

Going out with a bunch of guys I know for a little friendly get together bass fishing on the lake. Tight lines for all Sunday if you can.

Hey guys I went out in the canoe today and found smallies aggressively guarding beds all over the lake.  They were hitting Senkos, black and blue bitsy bug jig with green pumpklin trailer, and lizards rigged on a spot remover.  It was VERY windy to be out there in the canoe, but it was worh it,

I have a picture of one of many 3lb smallies that I caught today, but it won't upload to my gallery.  It says I don't have permission to upload "that type of file".  What, awesome fish file?

Heading out again tomorrow to another lake.  Not sure where yet...

Got 9 today in 3 hours. Fishing was better before it cleared up. I found most of my fish in 4' or less. Other than my jig rod (which was in my hand), this is my arsenal for today. Most of my fish today, came on that drop shot with the Cut 'R Worm. That's a deadly little rig, ya'll should give that a try. I cut about an inch off it to use on the drop shot.
