Anyone Have Any Luck In Southern Nh Yet? (4/6/12)

Featured Replies

Has anybody caught a bass ice fishing and soft water fishing in the same day? On wednesday I may ice fish in the Concord area in the morning, then head down to northern Mass in the afternoon to see if I can get a bass from one of the open lakes there.

Went out for some smallmouth today and we got what we wanted! The first fish I hooked up with was without a doubt my biggest smallie... I thought I was on the bottom until I felt her head shake, then

Shane and I got out today, fished a new sport for the first time and put together an alright day. Lots of pickerel, some pretty small bass but I did manage my biggest fish of the year SO FAR at 6lbs o

Good luck, It would get me even more eager to get out and fish if you get a bass... Hope your successful

Went out for the first time of the year with my father for a few casts. We hit a local small pond, I mean really small like less than a half acre. Anyways my dad put on an excalibur blue and yellow lipless crankbait that I had taken the back hook off and replaced with a small willow blade. Second cast he nailed a good 14inch pickerel. Spring is coming, I'm heading out this weekend and within a month it should be really heated up!

Shane will top everyone on here. I believe 9 or 10 pounds. Honestly probably the best fisherman on here. He kills them all year long. I told him he should go pro.

Nev and jitterbug those are some nice fish. I personally didn't get out much to due work and my sons hockey all summer. Biggest I caught was 4 plus.

I'm getting ansy, too. Here's my biggest from this year so far. 11.5lbs on a jig/Lobster. It's gonna be a good year, boys!

Highlights of bassin in Southern NH in 2011 for me and CLR9933. The last 2 weigh 6 pounds-11 ounces and 6 pounds-13 ounces. Watching it gets me fired up to go fish right now!

We'll have to top those two 6's this year nhbassin!

Anyone have any experience with Lake Champlain?  I'm in VT for school for a bit and live next to the lake.  I fished from shore off some rock points in the fall and got a few smallies, nothing too big though.  So if anyone has any good Champlain stories let me know!  Unfortunatley the season doesn't start here until April 13th so I've been DYING to get out.  Heaing to Concord on Friday, hopefully I can find some open water, even if it's the river.

I went on a trip 2 years ago to fish Lake Champlain.  Very fun place to fish.  Had more fun catching Pike there than Bass. Lots of areas to explore there.

Yeah, deffinitely a lot of places to explore.  I can't wait to start fishing all the small lakes and ponds around here also.  It'll be fun to fish some new water.

Hi, all... Live over on the other side of the line, but will be fishing in NH more this year as well.  See you on the water!

My dad's friend has house on Lovell Lake in Wakefield... We are going up mid april and I know the trout fishing is good but how about the bass? Anyone have experience there???

He caught a 37" walleye while trolling for trout two years ago... Im trying to get the pic from him...

If its like anything like its neighbor GreatEast then bass will be picky eaters
