R.i.p. Jose Wejebe

Featured Replies

I can't believe Jose Wejebe has passed away this afternoon in Everglades City. He was one of my favorite fishermen and one of the reasons I relocated to South Florida.

I was getting ready to post this myself. Very sad to hear it. I had the pleasure of meeting him and fishing with him on several different occasions. He's one of the people I respected most in the fishing community. Rest in peace, Jose. Hope you find that giant Tarpon waiting for you up in heaven.....

Total bummer, he was one of the greatest of greats. I had the pleasure of fishing with him a number of times, I'll cherish those even more now.

I heard it was a small plane crash in Florida with one male on board.

I always enjoyed his show since I love fishing shallow water.

So sorry to hear about his loss.

T&P to his family.

I met him twice and both times he was approachable and informative, its a shame he passed. He was a great angler and well known in South Florida.
