Me and Dad made the 2 1/2 hour trip to the maumee for the walleye run. We must have got there too late because we didn't catch a thing and from what we heard the fishing was awesome in the morning. We normally go 2-3 times a year, if you around the midwest I strongly encourage you to go. right now is about the best time, the walleye are moving in from Erie to spawn. We have had some great catches out of it, and some like yesterday where you don't catch a thing. But no matter what getting away for the day, the road trip, and just the quality time with the old man are all worth it! The fishing is just a bonus!

I have fished the river run every year since I was 12. I live in Maumee and I love it. The river is awesome smallie fishery in the summer as well. I wade it.
