I  just saw a vid on youtube that talked about 'double' dropshot where basically you have 2 lures suspending on seperate hooks from 1 leader. Has anyone tried this? is it more productive or over kill?

Never done it personally, but I dont see why it wouldnt work.

Double fluke rig works just fine...

I remember reading somewhere online (maybe In-Fisherman?) about something called an Ontario rig. If I remember correctly, it was just what you're describing.

Another thing you can do is use a jig instead of a sinker.

I have used a drop fly rig with success.
