Is that a chug-bug in his mouth? That may be the biggest topwater bass I have ever seen.

Well not "every" lake... but if its a lake fairly well known for big bass, usually.

Peace,

Fish

You guys hold record by lake?

Awesome fish.WTG Dan.

On a topwater? Thats insane!

Psshhh I catch those every day. In my dreams.. LOL.

GO CHUGBUG! I knew I kept mine from '95 for a reason.

Holy Moly, that is a beast!

wow that big fish can't break that popper off? :D

Didn't see this thread until now. There was a good surface going on at Perris, but a 18.8 lb giant on a Chug Bug... amazing. Just goes to show that a bass of a life time is just one cast away and you never know when it could happen.

Perris at one time held the world record spotted bass and yes some CA lakes keep tabs on records, most are unofficial.

That's a awesome bass!! I like to seen that thing bust a topwater bait!

Very nice fish! Congrads to the man that caught and landed it.

Man, just think if you were in really clear water and saw a shadow like that coming up behind your bait!

Wow that's awesome. It looks like he only had one treble hooked up too.

That's one of those fish we all wish to catch one day. That's a huge fish. Nice job Dan!

WOW beautiful fish and I can only imagine how he felt when she surfaced beside the boat ;)

That doesn't even look like a bass! Please, please, PLEASE note the fact that that man IS NOT holding the bass out at all. It is right next to his hip. Look at his hand in comparison to the fish. That is one of the coolest-shaped bass I have ever seen, hands down. Good job sir!
