Why Do You Love Swimbaits?

Featured Replies

My best friend and fishing buddy asks me all the time why I love swimbaits. Hes more of a beaver and plastic flipping guy and im a jig and swimbait guy. I never give a definitive answer, i always say "i dont know." I dont throw them all day or anything, but i throw them a lot. I have come to the conclusion after thinking about it a lot, i love it because you never know when that big bass is gonna strike. Even if i cast for 4 hours without a bite, the thing that keeps me going is thinking that my next cast will be a trophy. So, why do you love swimbaits? Also, a swimbait bite is contageous, you get that first bump and a split second later you feel the THUMP.

The constant big fish potential. I'm also a firm believer that swimbaits catch bass that ignore all other offerings. I've seen it time and time again in clear water. I can see a fish and it ignores and even shys away from other offerings but toss a swimbait at it and it slams it.
