When They Don't Move

Great morning on a local pond. I caught a nice fish yesterday, but that was my only bite.

Today I rigged up a Lobster on a new Moaner prototype. I think it's still top secret, but you

guys are going to like it when the rig is released!

Again today, the fishing was slow, two hours without a bite. On what was going to be my

last cast, BAM! I know this pond and you can't get hung in the spot I was fishing. My reaction

was quick and forceful. The result was exhilarating - the fish didn't move! Man, I knew from

the get-go this was a nice fish. The fat girl tried to run to deeper water, then changed her

mind and came roaring up and out of the water. By now I had a small audience, so she came

up again for an encore!

One bite, one monster...exactly the kind of fishing I dream of.

Nice going RW!

Gotta love it when all the persistence pays off.

Congrats Bud! Is it a familiar fish or a new one?

Saturday's fish is one that lives by the "No Swimming" sign. Yesterday's Walmart Girl was new!

I caught her between the sign and the first culvert, in open water.

Kent doesn't weigh or take pictures of any of his fish, exception being on the Road Trip, but one thing I can tell ya. When he posts, its over 7 and he wont tell you the size unless its his new PB, and even then he might not!
