Neon Barrage And Fatal Shad

Featured Replies

I had to back off the painting the past few months due to some health problems but finally got back out there to try a couple of new ones. Not very much detail, wanted to play around with the splatter effect. Let me know what you guys think.

Glad to see you are back to painting, sorry to hear you were in poor health. I really like the first bait, flo yellow over black is cool. I'm not a fan of the second pattern. I would rather see the red splattered over the back but not heavy. How are you doing the splatter?

Thanks guys. Marty, I tried a toothbrush for the splatter.

Same method that I use, a little messy but effective. I find it's hard to control the splatter, fine line between too much paint and not enough.

Yes, I agree. Very difficult to be consistent with it. Here's a Sexy Shad that wasn't as heavily done and not as big splotches.

Both are an amazing job painting wise. I agree the fatal shad color might be better suited on top or sides just because i think thats what the fish see most on a crank. The topwater is super nice and i don't see a fish passin that one up anytime soon!..

Great jobs!

Great job. That Neon barrage is super cool.

Dont bass strike bait from below? I would say the fatal shad pattern would be...fatal LoL!

Top water is a killer looking pattern but I'm just not a fan of the red splatter.

Both jobs are awesome. I like the red splatter effect...reminds me of my zombie movie collection. Seriously. Both will catch fish.

The fatal shad is more like a shotgun blast, looks great!
