So a year ago I was throwing a Norman Thin N in a color they no longer have. I had caught many big bass on this crankbait before but unfortunatley I lost it on a brush pile . Well today I decided that I was going to throw a Norman Thin N in a different color. So I was walking down the bank and I happened to glance down into the algea and I saw this little metallic bait floating in the algea. I thought to myself, wouldnt that be great if it was the bait I lost last year? I reached down and sure enough it was my Thin N I lost a year ago!!! The bad part is that it is covered in dirt and and grime and most of the split rings are rusted and the hooks have fallen off. What can I do to possibly restore this bait back to its original? Any certain cleaner that would do the best job? Also what size hooks should I put back on it? I am attaching a picture of it. Thanks!!!

There are ways to clean the bait.

I use hot water and soap to try to remove as much grime as possible.

I also have used Simple Green.

Replace hooks and rings.

The guys will give you better advice but you can use soap and water for starters.

I would think warm soapy water could take most if not all off. But if that doesn't work, mr clean magic eraser gets anything off. Great little things to have around the house and on a boat too.

Hot, soapy water and a scrub pad is how I clean mine if it's just algae and grime. Stains I use a magic eraser. Replace the split rings and as long as it hasn't started taking on water you should be good to go again.
