I am looking at getting a boat with a jet drive engine to saltwater fish and Hunt out of but i do have one question, how will it handle grass? is there a way to make it successfully run in the grass? are there any other problems I should consider?

Grass tends to get into the water intake cutting off water flow. Can get rather annoying.

Leaves can be a problem also.

I had a jet on a Tracker. It was great for river SM, steelhead, salmon.........Sucked up everything in sight on the lake. Also a considerable power loss compared to a prop.
