Does anyone know for sure who makes the Pro Qualifier Baitcast reel for BPS? I just bought one last night, and love it. It sure does look a lot like the Lew's Speed Spool.

They come from the same factory...so I hear...abus also

the owner of lew's, lynn reeves, was actually BPS's merchandise manager. i'm sure he leveraged a bunch of his existing manufacturing sources.

Did you also know Daiwa is too? Being a sole design just means its not shared. It doesn't matter.

But to the OP, they're all from the same factory and basically a Pure Fishing brand reel. Abu flooger, bps, lews are from the same people. But this does NOT mean they all have the same quality, and or quality control.

I have been a diehard Shimanoite for years. I did pick up a PQ recently. I have to say, I really like it. (so far)

Ya just can't resist, can ya? Neither can I! Pflueger doesn't make BPS reels. Hell, pflueger doesn't even maker pflueger's reels! They don't own a manufacturing facility. Truth be told, almost none of the BPS reels or the Pure Fishing reels are made in the same facility anymore. There are a couple instances in which they are, but those are rare.
