I like longer rods. Makes casting with longer leaders easier. And better to set the hook with on long/deep hits.

The action will depend on the weight size. ML would be up to 5/8, maybe 3/4. Heavy would be best over that, IMO.

I have (and recommend) a Falcon LowRider XG 7ft H Carolina Lizard dragger...awesome c-rig rod!

I use a St Croix Avid 7' MH F, I usually use 1/2 or 3/4 weights.

I have the original Falcon "lizard dragger"

There are only a very few lakes, which are all in Central Fla, that are over 10 - 15 ft deep that I've used it on. but to me it's the perfect rod.

I also use that as my frog rod.

I use a Shimano Crucial Crankbait Rod 7'11" in MH that I use and have been well pleased with. Use to use shorter rods but the longer rod seems to work better for me.

I use a 7'-6" Heavy, Fast action rod. Casting good sized plastic creature baits with a 1oz weight. Serious water coverage.

There is rarely a day on the water that I'm not throwing a rig. I use a 7 ft. Heavy Denali Rosewood Worm/Jig Rod. The same rod in MH will also work fine. I've always thought I'd like to go to a little bit longer rod, but have never found one I liked. Denali has just come out with a Terry Bolton signature model which is a 7'2" Heavy. I think that rod is going to be the real deal for Riggin.
