Pb Smallmouth (And My First Smallmouth)

Featured Replies

Caught this last Wednesday at the East Branch Dam in Western PA mountains with A slider head with a Green pumpkin BPS Stik-O in deep water, does it look 1.7 to you, I weighed it on my Field amd stream digital scale?

Great job!! Too bad you couldn't have been there in fall or spring, prespawn when the suspending jerkbait bite is on is something you can't believe and in the fall a spinnerbait burned just under the surface is something you'll never forget as the hit is super violent and it will rip the rod out of your hands if you aren't ready for it. But for now congrats on your first smallie!

Have you ever fished there before?

I believe he was talking in general. Smallies have tendencies no matter where they reside.

Nice!! Smallmouth are a blast. Great job.

Hard to tell from the pic, looks a little small to be a pound a half but could just be the angle. Either way it's your first smallmouth and that's all that really matters!
