2) Whill they live in a pond with VERY little wood, and no rock?

3) If a Bass's teeth are almost totally filed on, does it mean there eating crawfish?

4) If a Bass's teeth are filed down, but it has a small soft belly, are they eating crawfish?

5) Will they crawfish survive in dirty, weed congested, run off water in a pond?

6) If they are eating crawfish, why am I never seeing them in their gullets?

7) Will crawfish thrive on a mud/silty bottom?

If youre asking because you want to know if the bass will take a craw bait....

Bass will eat a crawfish without hesitation even if it has never seen one before, even if there are no crawfish in a 100 mile vicinity.

It is an instinctual response to "prey" not to a specific creature.

We used to catch crawfish every spring out of a seasonal pond behind our house. Was nothing but submerged grass and mud, and dry 8 months of the year. Closest permanent water source was 1/2 mile away. I don't think they need much to survive.

If it's about craw baits then I'm here to testify: The will indeed take craw baits. There was somebody who had almost convinced me that bass won't eat craw baits if there is none in the lake. My fishing buddy caught one on a Berkley Crazy Legs Chigger Craw and then I caught 2 with a carolina rigged Zoom Speed Craw. This was just last month.

When a baby is born, he/she doesn't know it needs milk/formula, but they will take it regardless and with greed. Same for bass, instincts drive the bass. For that matter they will strike a moving object just because it might be food and they're not sure, but don't want to miss out.

Bass's teeth are more like grippers rather than teeth. They don't chew anything. They just inhale and swallow. There's a chance I could be wrong though.
