That 2nd boat was like 10-20 feet from the logs crashing. Bet the pucker factor was 9.5 in that boat

Wow! Just crazy! Lucky nobody got hurt!

I've watched this video several times over, and I have to ask, What's the rest of the story? True, the second boat was too close for comfort. But why was a news crew filming there and looking at that bank, and why is a helicopter flying overhead? It looks like the upper north west, was this a logging operation?

With that said..... OMG, that's no way to add structure to a lake.

Where did this event take place?

Wow. That was pretty intense. Hope I never have to deal with something like that.

If you look at the logs that came down with the mud their ends have been cut and they're branch less. I believe this was a planed safety release of a logjam of some kind.

The nerd talking to the camera cracked me up. "5minutes ago, (pant) 5 minutes ago we were there. 5 minutes ago, and we would have been wiped out. 5 minutes ago." ROFLMAO :D :D

I'm glad no one was hurt, but he just cracks me up.

Wild footage for sure.

I also think that there is more to this story and it will come out eventually.

The sound of those tress cracking as it approached the water made my hair stand on end.

That or it happened somewhere where they still float logs as part of logging. I think you'd have heard some screams from the other boat if they weren't expecting it, but they sure didn't appear to be panicking or crying about losing their tow vehicle as I would expect if it were an actual boat launch,

Wow! Instant structure AND cover. :jaw-drop:

Was thinking the same thing.

This finally made the national news. NBC's Today Show said this morning that the landslide happened in Johnson's Landing, British Columbia.

One person confirmed dead, three others missing!

OMG, I was thinking this was a planed event and the people in the boats and helicopter were on-lookers.

I pray for the soles of the lost.

That 2nd boat is lucky it didn't get torpedoed by a tree. Just crazy,
