Any New Lures out there to Use on Smallmouth Bass?

Featured Replies

Seems to be a lot of posts about old lures. How about a new lure that's good to use on smallmouth bass? Is there any out there?  Maybe even a new body style?

I tried Gulp last spring and summer, but Gulp was pretty horrible. Didn't catch any fish on it other then a few crappie.

Have you checked out the Rage Tail Eeliminator? Thing is crazy!

Anybody know if these will work as a trailer?

I cut some of the bdy off and use it as a trailer on swim jigs; works pretty darn well.

I tie these jigs here and they are deadly on Smallies, nothing really new about them but I am new sponsor.... does that count? ;D

And now if you enter in br10 in the coupon code I give 10% off for Bass Resource members

river rat, nice looking jigs i'm sure they work very well.

I am certain the brand new "Swimming Super Flukes" will rip brown lips this season for me.

not sure if theyre out yet, but im looking forward to trying the rage baby craws this spring.

I find that new largemouth lures are always being cranked out while smallies just keep to the basic couple lures, tube, senko, spinnerbait, crank, etc.

Anyways, I usually find some cool creature baits, like a 4 or 4.5" brush hog that I can carolina rig for smallies. Or heavy spinnerbaits that hide the weight to keep a small profile for smallies. Shaky head craze works great for them to. Any new dropshot lure. ..

Thats basically the "new lures" I know about.

why can't you use the new lures that are out for largemouth?
