What would you guys do get that new revo s or the lews tournament? The new revo can be found for 110 during the labor day sales and the lews at 120. If it helps it will be on a veritas used for worms and stuff and I'm looking at gear ratios in the 6.0 range

I would just get a Chronarch and be done with it. Seriously, I would go for the Abu, I think they are more solid. The new S is pretty impressive looking compared to the old one. Im sure mechanically they are just as bomb proof.

I have a Lews TSS on a Veritas and love it. I don't think you can go wrong with either though. The new revo's are looking pretty awesome and that S would match real nice like on a Veritas.

Unfortunatly Shimanos $30 deal has passed, and they dont have to make good deals due to their product following. I know there is a Chronarch for sale on the market thread. You might want to jump on it if still available. Otherwise, its gonna be on ebay, or just fork up the money. All I can say is that the reel is worth the money in the long run for dependabiity and lonhevity.

Oh boy that is a tough one. I have the Lew's Speed Spool which I got new for $89.00 and it is alot better than I thought it would be. I had 3 of the 2nd generation Revo S and it was great but a little heavy. Now the 3rd generation Revo S has everything I have wanted in the Revo series. They made it slightly smaller, lighter and widened the spool. And then, that white color with the black highlights, oh man, they sold me big time. I've got 3 on order from my local tackle shop. Couldn't believe how Abu Garcia read my mind! Still can't go wrong with the Lew's either.

If you're considering the Chronarch, I'd save up until I had enough for it. Them babies are smoother than smooth. I love mine.

I was in your situation a few weeks ago also...was deciding between the tournament pro and the gen 3 stx. In the end I purchased a used tournament pro at a great price in the flea market section and then preordered a stx with the great labor day sales going on. In the end it's only money right ...

I'd go with lew's over the curado e, woops I mean the chronarch. You'd be surprised at how smooth lews reels are, especially the tourney pro. They do have a few new models coming out in October that are going to be awesome! Already have them pre ordered. I wouldn't mind checkin out one of the new revos though. They look siiick!

Mechanically they're identical. Go with the best deal you can find.

If they are the same mechanically, there are some Lews Tournament reels up in the flea market you might want to check out.

Try to find a lews tournament pro on ebay for around $150. Smoothest reel i own.

I have fondled the Lews a few times, they are fantastic reels. Very smooth and feel very solid. That said, I went with the new Revo s. I know how to work on Abu's and the new look it dead sexy.
