Fall Is Knocking On The Door

Featured Replies

For many of us in the Midwest.

I'm in central Mo, third week in September usually turns cooler day and night, and the bait fish flock to shallower water along with them comes big males and hungry females ready to put on the pre-winter feedback.

Bass fishing is about to pick up, I also intend to have a few crappie feasts when I'm able to find them.

Tnight lines....just picked up a Loomis NRX in 6'8" med heavy extra fast to pair with a revo max freshly spool with seaguar Tatsu fkouro. Jigs and soft plastics in the brush, here we come !

i cant wait for fall. its my favorite season and if fall means big bass, then thats just one more reason to get excited. wish i was in the midwest. im over here by the chesapeak bay in maryland where its still in the 80s and 90s with like 100% humidity.

Midwest here also. Ive already noticed more bass in the shallows. Topwater is finally producing some decent bass instead of the occasional dink. BTW its raining cats and dogs here in the Quad Cities right now. The temps are dropping and Im feeling the itch to FISH! If it keeps raining and we get rained out here at work then Ill give you one guess what Im doing when I leave...

With night air temps in the 40's here in the North woods of Michigan, both the Day time & Night Bite should steadily improve.

I've had some epic nights in September and early October - you just have to dress for it.

Bring it on !

Still waiting here in NC. Hopefully it will cool down in the next couple of weeks. It felt like it was here about a week ago, but all this humidity from the hurricane mixed with 85-90 degree weather screwed everything up. With all of the rain from the storm, I've found time to put new decks and carpets in my john boat before the fall tournaments begin!

Eagerly awaiting the arrival of cooler weather here in the heart of Kansas. Fall is my favorite time of the year for bass fishing.

The weather guessers are saying high temps in the 70s and lowa in the 50s for the weekend. A few weeks of that and the water temps should drop to a reasonable level.

Get out the crankbaits!

@dale.m- i know how you feel, i live in SC. Waiting on the temp to drop so I can go out and have a real day.

Midwest here also (KC Area). Eager to try out some new buzz baits and a new frog. Never used a frog before but I hear they work great ! Does anyone know how well cranks tend to do this time a year, or if it even makes a difference? I dont use cranks much but I really want to try to get more comfortable with them and use them alot more to reach some deeper depths!

We got a day or two of the cooler stuff then back into the high 80's/low 90's is what I've been seeing. It was so nice leaving work this morning at 8am and feeling that cool air on my face when I walked out of the building :)
