Xcalibur Lipless Cranks: Xrs Or Xrks??

Featured Replies

I decided on picking up some Xcaliburs, but now I don't know which ones are better. The XRs have multiple bbs in them, while the XRK has one tungsten rattle in them. It used to be that rattle baits like the Rat L Traps were the best with the multiple bbs and chambers, but now I'm reading that the One Knocker by Xcalibur is the way to go. Which ones should I choose?? Thanks.

I like both of them personally. I believe the common train of thought is to use the baits with multiple BB's when fish are chasing shad and the single ball when they're after craws. Lately I've been using the XRK50 a lot because most people seem to use baits with lots of BB's so it's just a different sound that fish don't hear as often.

I've heard that the rattles show the fish your baits coming and the knocker helps the fish really pin point it especially in dirty water

Get some of each. Fish will prefer one to the other on a day to day basis. I use primarily Red Eyes , simply because of the flutter on the fall. It is truly the best action of all lipless cranks imo. Second choice would be live target lipless crankbaits. Very pricey though.

I vote for both.

All I know is when the one knockers were $1.99 I bought a pile and they work :)
