Yearly Reel Maintenance.

Featured Replies

I have a bunch of reels I need to send out to get cleaned and re-lubed. Where is everyone sending theirs? BTW, I use Quantums.

Was going to send mine to pro reel service. Heard nothing but good things and the prices seem reasonable.

One of these days I'll tear one down and figure out how to do it myself.

Don't forget to check out Delaware Valley Tackle, one of our sponsors. Excellent work at a very reasonable price.

If you use Hot Sauce, be prepared to relube more than once a year.

I am considering them. I have 20 reels that I'd like serviced. Thats a lot of money. I wonder if they offer a discount for multiple reels? I'll have to send a few ata a time.

BassResource members get a discount at DVT!

He will call you back if he can''t answer the phone. Give him a call!

I do some very basic cleaning and lubing once a month myself. This summer I sent most of my reels to DVT for a proper cleaning, and I have been very pleased with what he did to them!

Great to hear. I do regular maintenance with oiling the reels monthly myself, its time though for a thorough cleaning and relubing. I will contact them in a few months.

My discount to BassResource.com members is 10% off labor and after market parts (drags, bearings etc) I do not have various level of service, every reel gets the same thorough and complete attention. I do not add handling, return postage is equal to inbound. Visit my site, PM me here, email or call any time if I can answer any questions.
