Will this be a good finesse rod? I'm having it built by Catoctin Creek Custom rods!

You got several replies in your other post on this: If you're just excited about your custom build, go fot it and enjoy. If you're unsure of the advice of the builder you've chosen, then you haven't done your homework.

If I was gonna spend $50 on a blank, it wouldn't be a MHX import when a SCIII can be had for an additional $10. I also may be biased as I've built 3 MHX's in the past and wasn't impressed with them one bit. But, If I were to go the import route, I'd be looking at a Rainshadow RX-7. Just my opinion.

I have not tried the Microwave guides yet, but I have a set on the way. The feedback I have seen has been pretty positive.

I do not have that particular blank, but have built a number of MHX blanks. I think they are very good blanks at a very fair price. They are not a North Fork Composite or a St Croix SCV, but I was not disappointed at all with the rods I built with them.
