Line Conditioner

Featured Replies

Only brand ive ever used was KVD. Now at can't seem to find it locally at Gander or Cabelas. is Reel Magic or Ardent as good?

Just order it from Tack Warehouse or Bass Pro

I used Reel Magic 15 years ago, and it worked fine. Many say it softens the line and ruins it, but I never had an issue with it, and I used it for years. Now that I use braid, I do not have the need for any line conditioner.

just get a gallon from tackle warehouse

I used the line butter once and gave the bottle away.

I applied it the night before. I made my first cast and noticed that it left a slick on the water when the line it the water.

I use Line and Lure

I wonder if I can use my daughter's hair conditioner / detangler. That stuff makes hair slippy and cannot imagine that contains some strong stuff in it...

I have never used anything but KVD, but it works so well I don't plan on using anything else at this time. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I had to check, I had no idea they actually sold it by the gallon! lol

its SO MUCH cheaper in the gallon then just pour it in a spray bottle and you good to go.

I got really tired of $8 for 4 oz.

I use the Reel Magic right now and it seems to work pretty well. With that said, when this bottle is empty I plan on trying out the KVD L&L conditioner.

KVD Lind and Lure is the real deal. Buy the gallon and you won't have to restock for quite some time.

Try some KVD on the braid. I think you'll be pleased. I am.

Something else about Line and Lure is that it is a blend of polymers and actually bonds to the line, so it won't wash off or damage your line. Most of the other products are silicone oil and solvents and just coat the line. Also, since Line and Lure is polymer based, it won't harm your reels or attract dirt. You can also go to www.lineandlure.com to purchase. It really works great on flourocarbon too.

I like Armor All :)

I have never tried it on Braided lines, since it is casting quiet well already. Maybe, I should give it a try.

Love the KVD line conditioner, thanks for the tip on the gallon option. I just ordered a gallon from TW and will be splitting it up among a few club members. Works out to just over $.50/ounce.
