I have the best results with 7" or 7-1/2" ribbontail worms. Red Shad, Tequila Sunrise, Junebug and Watermelon have been the most consistent colors. The brand I use the most is Barlow's house brand. They seem to me to have the right combination of action and durability, and a sack of 100 worms is less than $15. I like Culprit, but they're a little too soft and don't last as long as the Barlow's.

Rage Tail Recon Worm Falcon Craw color, Tx rigged on a 5/0 Moaner hook with pegged 3/8oz tungsten weight. I've actually caught more fish on the Anaconda, but been fishing that a lot longer, but this new Recon is killer, and definitely my favorite.

At the road trip in Guntersville, I was having trouble finding four or five inch senkos in the color I wanted.

I ended up grabbing a couple of packs of the Swim Senkos just in case. And yes, I would have wacky rigged them.

Never got into them at G-ville. I have a fishing buddy who likes to fish senkos weightless, rigged straight on a round shank worm hook. It took a bit of cajoling, but he did eventually tie one on, and he slayed the bass. Cast, let it sink to the bottom, then sweep the rod. Allow it to settle, then sweep again. The bass went nuts over it.

I tried it but could not come close to matching his prowess, so I put my tail between my legs and went back to the wacky rig.

That's the limit of my experience swimming worms. But from my observation of the success my buddy had, I have no reservations about recommending them.

X2. Texas rig with weight to match rate of fall I get the best response from. This early fall, with the water temp still up there, the bass wanted that thing dropping fast for the reaction bite.

The past week or so, I've gone to a 3/16 Spot Remover Pro model with the same worm- Power Worm. They're eatin' it pretty good.

6 inch Producto Tourament worm, Black Grape. Because when Texas rigged the tail floats up off of the bottom. It has been a good producer in the stained waters I fish.

I fish with hand poured or automated hand pour worms and rarely use injection molded , high production worms. Roboworms are my favorite small worms; 4" to 7" worms and Iovino worms depending on color choices. Big worms or giant worms my favorite is Upton's Customs. The reason is high floatation and soft life like movement and color choice.

No contest. Hands down the 5 inch Yum Dinger is my favorite worm. Its caught me more fish than I can count. And I might be the only guy that prefers them over a Senko. The action and wiggle is the same but you get more for your money and they last longer. Plus they have a little indent for texas rigging. After that it would be the Havoc Boyd Duckett Juice Worm, a ribbon tail. Always have those two worms on me at all times when im out.

Rage Recon and 10" Thumper. Those two have been dynamite this year.
