Back Light

Featured Replies

went to tr last week and the backlight on my eagle fish finder would not come on. i know it was working cause i could barely see. is this something i would be able to fix or would i have to send it in? pretty scarey as low as the lake was and not being able to see.

I doubt that you can fix it and if it is out of warranty you usually can't get them worked on.

Is the backlight brightness adjustable? If it is, bring it up on the menu, and try to adjust the brightness to a higher level, then click enter, or OK, or whatever is on the screen to keep the setting at that level. It might not solve your problem, but it's worth a try.

Most of the back-lights on Lowrance products are adjustable by briefly hitting the power button several times. You might try that.

checked with lowrance today. looks like i am sol, they will not repair because it over 3 yrs old. looks like in the market for new one, might as well look at a new boat to go with it!
