XCalibur HJ12 Jerk Bait

Featured Replies

I just picked a couple of these up. I was looking for a cheaper version of a LC pointer 100. Anyone fish with these?

XCalibur Rapala? You're talking about a Rapala Husky Jerk, right?

  • Super User

Are you asking about two baits? If so, what XCalibur are you talking about?

  • Super User

Full of fail this thread is.

What baits are you asking about?   :-?

  • Super User

what's confusing is that XCalibur is one brand of baits and Rapala is a completely different brand with different lures...

are you asking about a Rapala bait or an Xcalibur bait or both?

Sorry, didn't notice i did that, I'm talking about the xcalibur HJ12 Jerk Bait.

The Rapala HJ12 is probably what you bought:

http://www.rapala.com/products/lures/husky_jerk/

This is a very effective lure, but does not cast

or suspend as well as the LC Pointer.

Here are the XCalibur Twitch Baits:

Xcalibur also makes a bait similar to Rapala's Husky Jerk: http://www.***.com/XCalibur_Xs4_Stick_Bait/descpage-XCSB.html

But they are called the XS4. I think you're talking about the Rapala Husky Jerk. They are tried and true jerkbaits, but I still prefer to fish styles like LC Pointers.

Full of fail this thread is. :-?

That was awesome. I could even hear a little Yoda voice saying it. ;D

Anyway, the XCaliber is a great bait, one of my faves, and the Rapala HJ12 (Husky Jerk) is, too. Totally different lures though. The Rap is a first generation suspending jerk, and the XCaliber offering is like someone did a "pimp my lure" treatment to a Rogue.
