Cranks, Spinnerbaits, Top water, Worms etcetc

Chartreuse for cranks and spinner baits, shad colors for topwater, and black or green pumpkin with the tail dyed chartreuse for worms.

I dont have any favorite fall colors. That being said this year I caught a lot of fish on a yellow, not chartreuse ,crankbait. I have a gold foil Fat Rap and smallmouth bass pattern Model A that have produced good in years past. Top waters I use black the most. Worms the same as summer. Browns, greens, purple work well. I dont think these colors are better than others, they are just the ones I have had success with so I continue to throw them.

I think it depends on where you fish. There isnt really much difference between summer and winter here. Shad don't exist here either. Color to me is dictated by water type and conditions not season. Clear, tannic, muddy etc.

Same ones I use in the rest of the year.

15o hours on water 3 fish. I tried soooo many different colors techniques nothing. I think Sandy either really messed up my local lakes or someone kidnapped all the fish lol.

Serious tho. Sat had luck on Chartruese Rooster Tail. Today had a few Bass follow in a purple spinner bait. Idk what's going on I usually have great success every year around this time at my local spaots.

Colors tried with various baits.

- crawfish pattern

- yellow perch pattern

- black/burgandy

Spinnerbaits have been producing for me this whole week. Surprising that the bite is finally on at our lake.

Latley I have been catching nearly all my bass on soft plastics, white (jerk baits), pumpkin seed, watermelon seed and green w/ red flake have been the best performers. Still no bass on crank baits, or football jigs or crankbaits this fall, not for lack of trying.

All my fish so far this season have come on chartreuse spinnerbaits. Not for lack of trying other methods. I guess thats just what the fish have been wanting!

Chartreuse spinnerbaits have been kicking butt for me too. Been using double willows.

I've been having a lot of success with lures that have pink in them. Mainly I've been getting success with a War Eagle copper double willow blade with a "bubblegum" colored skirt. It hasn't failed me yet in the past 2 weeks.
