Got Kidney Stones Part Ii

Well I can proudly say I am stone free. By the way, Mr. "Bassin is addicting" I read your post this morning. Although very detailed, you were correct on your description. I will spare all of you the details but let's just say after the procedure you are not out of the woods yet with recovery. Granted its been less than 24hrs post op, so as time passes I will recover and gradually feel more comfortable. Doc told me I had two stones that were lodged in my ureter that gave the appearance of one stone. Best advice I have received several times thus far is drink plenty of fluids. The equivalent of 8-10 glasses of water everyday. Thanks again for the all the kind words everybody. I never met any of you personally however I feel at home here at BR with all of you.

I got the whole enchilada. I got the stent, the laser, and god knows what else.

I had the stent, not a fun experience. Hope everything goes well and that horrible little stent gets removed quickly.

Wow sounds like I was fortunate not to go throught that!...Anyway glad to hear all went as planned, hope your recovery is a speedy one.

hey, i'm glad you are doing well.... i truly wasn't trying to be mean in any way at all.... i was just trying to be honest with what to expect. i'm sorry if some took it as being over the top. i really meant no harm.... unless you've had them there is no way to explain the pain...

glad you are past it all now...

Glad to hear you made it through! That is an experience that I can live without haha

No worries "Bassin is addicting" I get where you were coming from. You are right. Unless you have had one you cannot explain it. You can count on the fact that I will do everything necessary "not" and I repeat "not" get one of those stones again.

I was just giving you a hard time. I didn't really consider it as being over the top. Some things are too good to pass up.

ok... good. i was hoping you were just giving me a hard time....

i truly was having flash-backs as i was typing when i expressed the pain.... it is baaaaaad.

That which does not kill me will make me stronger...........or cry for morphine in my IV. Glad you are doing better. For those who have never experienced the pain of the dreaded kidney stone, it's as close as the male gender will ever get to child birth.
