Kansas City Tacklemaking Supplier

Featured Replies

Anybody in Kansas City know of a place locally to buy tackle making supplies other than the big sports stores (BPS, Cabela's etc.)?

I am wanting to get into making my own jigs and plastics. I would also like to find a class of some kind to help get started.

There is a place but I can't remember the name. I've herd great things about them but wen I called them they told me they didn't have a showroom and I couldn't go and buy from them they would ship my order to me but didn't allow local pick up... I have everything you need if you want to borrow the stuff lmk. I can show you how to make them if you want.

I shop online. Try Barloes tackle. They have jig molds etc. you can get lead at rotometals

It's Barlows tackle

Roger's in Liberty has a pretty decent selection of lure making supplies. Lots of skirt material and paint and some poured baits. Great store with tons of stuff packed into that store.

It's Barlows tackle

Barlow's Tackle is in Texas, the DFW area, IIRC. They are an excellent source for tackle making tools and supplies. I buy a lot of stuff from them. They're also a great source for bulk soft plastics.

Hi Salenity, I really appreciate the offer to loan me your equipment, but Since I'm retired and don't have any time frame as to when I might use it I won't keep you from your stuff. (Winter is coming and that's when most of us will be making tackle). I may go up to Rogers and talk to them, I'm sure they would be glad to show me how to use the stuff, espically if I buy it from them.

Make some good ones this winter .....
