I personally don't care if one company copies another company's design (that new bumper fascia on Ford's compact cars ain't American ingenuity). I care about how good the product is and how low the price is for me.

As dumb as it sounds, fishing lures to me are interchangeable and brand name doesn't influence me. Cavemen used to fish with fish bones as basic lures.

I could be wrong, but does Tackle Warehouse have things like anchors (not Power Poles/Talons)? I didn't find those boat related things on their site (a few yes) so that's why I see BPS as the "complete" source, albeit not the cheapest.

Well shipping on an anchor would probably cost a ton.

I think most lures copy each other.  You surely don't think Zoom, Strike King, Yum, Berkley, Yamamoto, each invented plastic stick baits.  Same with the Alabama Rig, which is just a version of the umb

This was my favorite topwater in the early 1960s.  A Creek Chub Plunker.  The other two were the Jitterbug, and the Hula Popper.  Looks like many of the topwater poppers available today.     Yester

A lot of times the local shops have no idea whats big in the bass world. They cator to every type of fisherman. On saturday I stopped in to buy some heads for hair jigs, ive known my local shop owner for 20 years. I made a comment about a bait I wanted. He pulled out a catelog and asked me to mark everything I thought people would want so he could order new stuff and put good stuff on his walls. Told me he planned to spend $10,000 a not be shy cause he wanted to make sure tournament season would do well. He ensured me he would "hook me up"

The shop I worked at had a list of things to buy. We could order almost anything someone asked for. Most times we would be ordering boat parts, basically if you can name a part on a boat we could order a replacement. The other times it would be random baits or colors, mostly plastics.
