Looking For A New Spot

Featured Replies

Im in the memphis (Arlington) area and looking for a new place to fish. I have no boat so it doesnt need to be a big one really.

If your not familiar with the area go on Google maps and search for lakes and ponds in your area. Or you can hit up a local bait shop and ask some people where they are going. Just some ideas.

I worked in a local bait shop, it is a good idea for general locations at best. Yes we will gladly list local forest preserves and sometimes will give away our spots if we have time and like you.  I found my best spots and new locations using google maps and visiting multiple lakes and ponds in a day. Do not call in and ask for locations at your local tackle shop, stop in the day before you plan on going out say your are looking to try out a new area for bass  and want to know what will work in said area. Honestly if it is a slow day we will talk forever and spill more information as you become a regular. I much rather see my regulars fishing my locations than the "bucket fishermen" that pass through the shop.

We have several BassResource members that fish ponds here in Germantown

and Collierville. Specifically the Civic Center in Collierville, Nashoba Park and

Grove Park in Germantown. The fishing has been slow the last two months and

probably will not pick up until March.
