Illinois/wisconsin

Featured Replies

I'm Jacob, I'm a Junior in high school, and I have fished most of my life.  My dad got me into it, he likes to fish but he isn't that serious about it.  I really started to bass fish my freshman year of high school in a river by my house, which I fish almost everyday when I can.  My parents bought me my first solid rod and reel my freshman year (abu garcia promax and a st croix triumph) But after that, I had to start buying my own stuff, so I got a job so I could.  My family has a cabin in Wisconsin that we are at for about 4 weeks out of the year, where we fish for smallmouth.  Now that it's winter and everything is frozen in Illinois, I spend a lot of time looking at the different strategies for fishing, and have found out a lot.  I found out about this place from bassresource's videos on youtube, which have taught me a ton.  Hope I can learn some more by being on this website.

Welcome, you found a great site.  Lots of great knowledge around here.

Thanks everybody.  The lakes I am on are called Brown Lake and Long Lake, both don't have public access, haha.  Gonna be up at Turtle Flambeau and Plum this summer hopefully.  What lakes do you fish?
