Water/weather Report From Grand Lake ?

Featured Replies

Any info on the lake and weather out that way? Wonderin what things are going to be like for the big sticks at the Classic.

Right now the water temps are in the mid forties more or less, there's a warming trend the next week, but beyond that, who knows?  You can go to weather.com and type in Grove OK for a location and get a forecast there.  I think the furthest they forecast is 10 days.

Thanks for the info Quillback. Gonna be interesting to see how much the water temps come up in the next three weeks.

Yeah it's hard to say, weather this time of year can be crazy in this area.  Biggest challenge for the competitors could be dealing with the weather.  They may get lucky of have 3 relatively nice days, but it's a crapshoot.  I'm glad to see them come to Grand, but I've always wondered about the timing.

Accuweather.com has an extended forecast that goes out to the Classic weekend. Lots of 50's and 60's between now and then with just a few 40's so it looks pretty good so far. I know I'm pumped up to be there!

I'd like to be there myself! Couldn't make the Classic in Pittsburgh cuz of work. Did make the Forest Wood Cup in Pittsburgh a few years ago, it was a good time. Still want to go to a Classic sometime. Hope the weather is good and steady for em this year. What do you guys think it'll take to win it?

I've never fished Grand and don't know much about it but I would think 15-18 pounds a day would get a guy a good look at it. If the weather stays warm between now and then and gets the water temps to the low 50's it may take low 20's if those big fish get moving up towards the bank.
