Extremely intellingent and great talkers.  they also can live well into their 70's!

 

Growing up I always had a bird.  Yellow nape and then a blue and gold macaw.  While in college my folks watched the yellow nape, which unfortunately escaped.  Then the macaw was simply too messy and loud, so i sold him.
