Fun lure to fish! When do you guys whip this puppy out ? (pun intended)

Better when the water is calm, the forage smaller and the bass pickier. The Spook Jr. is a good lure too, in between the size of the pup and the regular spook.

Bass in my neck of the woods hit the big one all the time, no matter the size. I have had 1 pound bluegill strike at it.

When it is really calm, clear and or bright. They will hit the puppy sometimes when they wont commit to the bigger versions. And also if your fishing a lake with a 12in limit and its a tournament you better hookups with smaller fish. Downside is wont draw fish as far as the bigger ones.

For ponds and small lakes it is an old favorite. On light spinning tackle it is a good time.
