Yep she didn't wreck, top ten. But she didn't win either, the pole was no big deal. Wonder how she will do starting further back. Long season ahead of her.

Don't know how many caught this, but when the Grand Marshall gave the order to start engines, he said, "Drivers,.....and Danica, start your engines."   His intention, I'm sure, was to emphasize Danica, but the reality made it sound as though Danica was not a driver.

That is pretty funny.  But I have heard the pole starter referred to as well as "drivers" in this announcement before!

My wife and I caught it, and had a five minute conversation about the probably media fallout over it because of the way they like to blow everything out of proportion.  I agree with you, I think his intentions were great, but it came across wierd.  Thankfully it's not the top story on ESPN this morning!

I'd say she kicked some a$$ on Sunday and the pole position was a VERY big deal!

For most of the day she was Top 5 which helped her keep out of the fray, in front of

the wreck. Danica went into the last lap in 3rd place before being squeezed back.
