Biggest Tourney You Ever Fished?

Featured Replies

Sitting here watching the classic online and dreaming of one day fishing in something of that caliber got me wondering what is the biggest tournament you guys have ever fished in? I fished in the ranger boats owners tournament on Kerr lake in 2007 and had an absolute blast! Meet tons of pros and great people. There were appox.380 boats and it was exciting to say the least. I finished 13th and it was by far the biggest and best tournament I have ever been a part of. So what is your biggest moment fishing tournaments?

  1. I fished in the College Fishing Central Regional Championship in 2010.  There were only 20 boats, but FLW made it really professional. It was really cool, awesome experience.

1984 (I think) I was 14 and fished the BASS Southern Invitational out of Clewiston, Fl.

Last March. Anglers Choice Tournament of Champions. 196 boats with 1st prize being a 50k boat. Needless to say 129th was out of the money :laugh5: . I fish 50+ boat tourneys regularly.

The big ones are fun! I hope to fish a everstart event next year!

The biggest tournament I have ever fished was a Shriners charity tournament on Truman Lake Mo, there were 412 boats.  It was insane.

How did you do?

The BASS Master Classic 1991 and 2005.  I Won the BASS Federation National Championship both those years.  That was the best!  The fed is a good way to get to the big show without going all in.  Full time pro is a big risk, big commitment deal.

Hey welcome to the site! Fishing the Classic is quite and accomplishment.

Zwhiten12, My partner and I finished 68th.  We had limits each day but lacked the big kicker fish. But that seems to be the story of my life.

Big bass splash 1 million dollar payout 250000 first place 7551 boats missed a 19' triton by. 01 my fish weighed 4.99 and needed to be 5.00
