Swim Jigs

Featured Replies

Whats everyone's favorite swim jigs?  And what are your preferred trailers for them?

Any old jig can swim but I like the poison tails. I use a trailer that I make.  I'd post a pic but this site will no longer let me post pics.

I like the Outkast tackle swim jigs, very good color selections and good weights. For a trailer I use their Fat Tail Grub 5" or a baby brush hog.

Have never used them - yet - but I've got a bunch ordered from ***.com.  His detailed write up and explanation concerning the Wisconsin Swim Jig design, convinced me.

Dirty Jigs Tackle makes the sickest swim jigs I've found. I like their 3/8oz Swim Jig and then I also really like using the No Jack jigs in 1/2oz and 3/4oz for getting them deeper. The Swim Jig I use a little paddle tail swimbait or a paca chunk, but for the no Jack I use larger swimbaits like a 3:16 Mighty Minnow, and other swimbaits on the back. Instead of imitating a craw, you're just imitating a bait fish. They make some sick blue gill colors that have worked wonders over here in California.
