What is the coldest water you've caught bass on a frog?

Anyone use them during the spawn when water's in the 60's?

I'm thinking this is when the frog bite really starts is during the spawn and post spawn

Low 50's..................and enough times to know it's not an accident.

I fish them all the way down to the low 60's high 50's its rare that the water around here gets much colder then that. I've consistently caught them in that cold of water.

I use topwaters when the water is about 55° or higher.

Up here in the great white north if the weeds are growing you can catch bass on frogs.  last year the coldest i caught them in spring was 50.  In the fall though they shut off on the frog bite when the water gets below 60.

A guy I know often does well in tournies at lake powell fishing the brush in the upper 50s with frogs.

This is what ill be throwing next week in my tournament. A topwater frog with 49* temps.....lol

 

If the fish aren't in the shallows yet, try a keal weighted space monkey, cast it on the steap banks and hop it off. Looks like a frog to me.
