Good Jig Trailers

Featured Replies

Been working on my flippin' technique.  I have been using a 1/2oz all-terrain jig with a rage craw.  Going off of some advice I am planning on taking down the profile of the bait by using a Strike King Bisty Flip in the 1/2oz weight.  I love the action of the rage craw, but would a smaller profile help with finicky fish, or would sticking with the rage be sufficient?

You know, I'm sorry, I said craw when I meant chunk.  Either or though, does the baby craw have smaller pincers?

Yep, it's got smaller pinchers. When I'm throwing a finesse jig I just pinch off a little of the body to make it like a chunk. It should be exacly what you are looking for.

Here's a size comparison of the Rage Lobster - Craw - Baby Craw

Like Fluke said, it's a BABY ;) and Mama Bass Love it ;)

I use GYCB Flappin' Hogs for clear/stained water and Rage Chunks or Paca Chunks in stained/muddy water

While I absolutely love Rage Tail Craws I will use Gene Larew Craws (3, 4, 5, & 6") for a slimmer profile in thick cover or a Zoom 3" Swimmin Chunk in less cover. Different trailers will vary the rate of fall which is key in getting that reaction strike.

Paca Craws

Munchies from Louisiana

Size matters, as Catt said, to help control the fall.  ;)

I agree or Netbait has a 3 in.twintail grub that is small body and makes a great trailer!

I take a Bitsy Bug jig and take the skirt off and put a Netbait Tiny Paca chunk or a Tiny Paca Craw on the Bitsy Bug jig with no skirt! It's a killer!

I use a hand poured 2" chunk.  Once in awhile I'll use a zoom lil critter craw.

Zoom chunks.
