Strike King Shim-E-Sticks

Featured Replies

I just got some Strike King Shim-E-Sticks at Walmart, size 5 1/2" long, smokey shad color and baby bass color. They look like Senkos and I've never used a Senko type lure at all so I thought I'd get some and try them out. Anyone else use these that can tell me how they will compare to a Senko?? Basically, did I make a decent choice or did I waste my money??

Also got a pack of Gamakatsu EWG in the 5/0 size to use with them. I'm thinking fish weightless on 8 - 12 pound line (got two rods, one 8#, one 12#, that I can use).

I use the dingers and the ochos  one is from YUM and one is from SK. I fish them either weightless on a whacky rig, texas rigged, or sometimes on a shaky head

I bought a pack about 4 months ago, so far.a big NADA on them...but to be fair, I don't use them as much as the Senko's.

the strike king shim-E-sticks work okay.  They don't replace the senko though in my opinion.  I throw mine on a gamakatsu EWG 4/0 hook weightless

I have also had good luck with them, they are a lot stronger than the senko and you wont have to replace it after catching 4 bass...
