Has anyone used the megabass poppers? They look amazing but they're just so expensive. Wondering if anyone has used them and how they perform compared to other poppers.

I 've got several PopMax and for me they perform well, just as well as the Hula Popper, Skitter Pop & Chug Bug. It 's a matter of finding what kind of sound they want.

Do they perform any better than the others? I've heard they catch a lot more fish, but I've never used one.

I have used them for the last few years and I would say they are about the same as any of the other leading top water baits. Just a different sound or action for the days they need it. They are certainly not magic or worth the price.

Not to my knowledge.

For example, my most productive popper is the Hula Popper, but how can 't it be my most productive if have fished with it for 3 decades ? but there are days they don 't want the Hula, they want something else, then I pull out another trusted one, the Chug Bug and that does the trick, it 's still a popper but the profile is different and the sound is different, so you never really know what they want in particular until you try, you start with the trusty ones nad if they don 't work then change for another.

I have great luck with them and would recommend them.  I do find that they have a unique action and sound that other poppers dont.  You can walk the dog with the pop max as well.  Definately worth it to me at least.  I have countless smallies on them when others just didn't produce.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's ok Broc I understand you don't approve of my change of colleges aha. But now we'll have some fun head to head on a college scale.

The megabass is expensive. You might want to try the river2sea bubble popper. They look alike. I just ordered 3 of them to see how they perform.
