Walk The Dog, Wake And Subsurface Baits

Featured Replies

Getting my gear ready for this spring, I noticed I am lacking in the topwater section.  I have picked up a little this and that, but I would like to see what you guys think.

I am looking to grab a walk the dog style bait (I have a couple of spooks already) and maybe a wake or subsurface bait.

What do you guys think are some of the better options?  I have looked at the Megabass, Luckycraft, Strike king baits, as well as the Rapala sub walker.  I am not opposed to paying for quality, but just wanted to gauge what to get based on some hands on from you guys.

Don't hurt to throw colors at me too, lol.

I like the LC Wake 3.5 and the Black Dog Small Shellcracker G2 for wake baits.

Thanks, I am looking them up as we speak!

I love the Ima Roumba for a wake bait, it killed for me last year.

Shellcracker G2, and the GlideRap are great baits.  Subwalk catches Pickrel and Fishermen, not Bass.

Try the Jackal Boil Trigger as well.

BPS The Egg is probably the best wakebait on the market today. The hooks are garbage though, so change them out if you fish this lure.
