Hey guys, Im wondering if you guys can tell me when are the best conditions and times to fish for bass with hollow body frogs.

I don't have a ton of experience with them but I get most of my topwater strikes shortly before or after sunrise/sunset, especially in the warmer months.  I usually fish them around lily pads or shoreline grass/weeds.  Basically anywhere frogs would be around the times that they would be there.  If your seeing fish breaking the surface, its a good sign for topwater.

Once the water temps remain above 55 degrees, its all fair game in my opinion.  Don't be afraid to work your frogs out in depper water either.  You might be surprised at how far an agressive bass will travel to strike a frog.  Remember, fan casting is not just to the 180 degree cone in front of you - turn around 1/4 turn and overlap your cones so that you work all sides of the boat in all depths.

when the temps get like 60 and above and you see frogs on the bank thats when i start throwing them, i have had a lot of success throwing them right down the edges of matts in the morning before it gets hot.

That's weird. Why would the barometric pressure make bubbles or not? Do you have a link to hat video?

It isn't the barometric pressure making the bubbles it is the barometric pressure allowing them to stay in one piece and not pop.

To me as soon as I hear a frog I start chucking them. I caught a fish on a frog this year and water temps were in the low 50's but it wasn't a hollow but the idea is the same.

Here ya go:

Awesome

I love hollow body frogs I think they are one of the best big fish lures out there. The best time to use them is whenever you are targeting big fish. another good time is when you are on a lake that gets a lot of pressure find the thickest nastiest stuff with some good deep water neer by and go froggin.

I like them all year long as long as the water is above 50 degrees. They are not just for heavy cover. Frogs are my #1 open water topwater bait too.

No worries

Great Video, I had no idea, Thanks
