I am wondering what size weight do most of you guys use when fishing T-rigged worms. I know the weight will vary when flipping thick cover, but I am asking for general fishing conditions. Thanks for your help.

I tend to use 1/4 oz. more than others.

1/4oz and 1/16oz are what I normally use. Wind, depth, and if i'm wanting a slow or fast fall are all factors that go into what i choose though. If it's awfully windy i'm obviously not going with a 16th oz.

1/4 oz. works well for just general texas rig fishing

I use a spinning rod for most of my TX rigs and use 3/16 oz 85% of the time.  When I use my casting setup I use only 1/4 oz.

Half to one ounce for 10-12" worms. 3/8 and 1/4 tungsten for most everything else.

3/16 - 1/4 98% of the time

 

If it's thick grass of any type I'll throw a 1/2 oz plus jig!

3/16 oz. when I'm spinning with 10 lb, copolymer line; 1/8 oz. with 8.

I usually use around 1/4 oz and 3/8 oz a close second.

For me T.rig is 1/8 to 5/16 but 90% of the time it's a 3/16

Lightest you can get away with.In water less than 10 ft its usually 1/8 to 3/16. very bulky plastics 1/4 to 5/16.

I K.I.S.S. when it comes to bullet weights. I have 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 oz. in my box. I tend to use the 1/8-3/8 for shallow water, and/or moderate to light cover, and with small baits. 1/4-1/2 for GP work. 3/8-1 oz. for deep water, heavy cover, when I want a fast fall for a reaction bite, and punching.

Usually as light as I can get away with. The lowest I go is 1/16 oz, and the heaviest 1/4 oz. If it is really windy or deep I will go up to a 1/2 oz. I get the most bites on the 1/8 oz.
