Just what several guys were asking for.

The Pro Series is a great addition to the

MegaStrike line-up!

Those look good. Will be ordering some shortly.  ;)

Like any other shaky head jig, they hang up in wood.

However, they can be rigged weedless and don't hang

too much in rock. When they do, if you get right over

the jig, or sometimes behind it, 90% can be freed.

What I really like about Bobby's Shak-E2 (both styles)

is the way they stand up. My #1 presentation has been

rigged with a 6 1/2" Kut Tail. This year it will probably

be a Rage Tail Lobster.

I was waiting for that Burley old boy. Tell me what the reasoning is behind your hanging up theories. Lets get started shall we!!!

Well, I just gave the 1/8 pro model a week-long workout last week on Lake Gaston. I managed to get it hung in some rip rap and a few stumps. Never lost the first one. The only one I did lose came on a hook set where I got a bit carried away and snapped the line.

I was fishing it with a Baby Rage craw and caught my share of fish with it. Much better than the original model. Never had the bait pull off the wire.

By adding the fulcrum"skid plate" allows the bait and the head to stand upright. It allows the head to ride over snags and cover by following the contours of the objects better. When fishing rocks we all know that baits get wedged or pinched between the slight gaps between the rocks. HOW WE LOOSE THE HEADS is pulling them directly towards you. A snag must come out and be pulled the same direction it went in. NOW what I have found is by shaking the rod tip before wedgeing it in to much will usually dislodge the bait. Always retie after getting the bait out.

Too much crap on that head.  A ball or football head is easier to snake through rock.

I don't know what kind of rock you guys fish, but this is what I fish every time I'm on the water.

Got a package of the shaky heads at the road trip last year.  Tried one earlier this year on a similar bank.  Two casts, gone.  Tied on another, I think it lasted 10 casts before being sacrificed to the stone gods.

Tie on a Picasso Shakedown or a similar style, I rarely get hung.  Very easy to free when hung.

They may work for some people, but for me, I would be better off just taking the money I would spend on one of the Evo-style jigs and throwing it in the lake.

When you throw and head into that type of rip rap-there is a point where the two rocks meet-its a "Y".When the line wedges between where the two rocks meet is of course where it gets stuck. A round head is more blunt than a head that can manipulate  itself over contours.I have worked with these heads  you are talking about underwater in lakes as well as in tank situations. I have found that the Shak-E2 head rides better over cover and rocks. Most of the hang ups on the other type heads were due to the head and bait falling over on its side. When the hook is sideways it has more area or bulk to get wedged or hung. When the hook is straight up-wherever that head goes the hook follows right behind it. Of course there will be times they get wedged because of the line in the "Y" but usually a little shake will get them out -unless you pull it to tight.
